The supplier showed us the product and asked for 30% upfront for loading, booking shipping space on vessel plus insurance. Once we paid this – they loaded the 1 container on trial in front of me and sealed the container. We took photographs of the container with seal number. We were then sent B/L, Form 9 and other relevant documents via email. We could not release our container at Chennai Port in India till we could show original documents. The supplier would not release the original documents till balance had been paid. We paid this and once the container was cleared by customs, we found the container contained cement bricks. They have an International sales manager who goes by the name of Lily Zhang.
